Some old McCulloch models needed chain oil to lubricate the bar through the adjuster hole (D276 bar mount) but unfortunately that bar type is now Obsolete, If your model oils through the adjuster hole, then you may need to block the slot vertically because this bar type is made for models that oil through the bar channel like most modern guide bars
