STIHL Guide Bars

We offer a wide selection of genuine, high-quality aftermarket STIHL guide bars, available in different lengths and specifications to suit a wide range of compatible chainsaw models.

The guide bar supports and guides the saw chain as it rotates around the cutting area. So, with regular use, guide bars become worn, damaged or bent, which affects their cutting performance and chain movement. To restore accurate cutting and ensure the chain runs correctly, simply replace the worn guide bar - no need to replace the whole machine.

Choosing the Right STIHL Guide Bar

Chainsaw guide bars are not universally interchangeable. The correct bar depends on factors including your chainsaw model, bar length, chain pitch, gauge and number of drive links.

If you know your chainsaw model, required bar length and chain pitch, use our Bar & Chain Finder to help find a compatible guide bar and chain.

When Should You Replace a Chainsaw Guide Bar?

A guide bar may need replacing if you notice:

  • Visible damage, bending or excessive wear

  • Uneven or damaged bar rails

  • The chain no longer runs smoothly around the bar

  • The chainsaw consistently cuts to one side

  • Excessive wear around the bar nose

  • The bar is no longer holding the chain correctly

Regular cleaning, lubrication, correct chain tension and proper maintenance can all help extend the working life of your guide bar.
