Hand Operated Miracle Wedge Kit.
The pointed threaded cone is placed against the end grain of the log, then the crossbar is used to screw the cone into the timber. As the cone gets wider, it forces the grain apart and splits the log. It is intended as a hand-operated alternative to using a conventional wedge and sledgehammer or a powered hydraulic log splitter.
How it is used
- Stand the log securely on a firm, level surface.
- Position the pointed end near an existing crack or toward the edge of the log.
- Turn the cross handle so the threaded cone bites into the wood.
- Continue turning until the widening cone separates the log.
